Canadian singer/songwriter Alexz Johnson made her start through acting, and is best known for her portrayal of Jude Harrison in the teen drama series Instant Star, and her vocal performance on four soundtracks albums for the show. She is now ready to release her debut solo album that will be titled Voodoo and here is the official first single titled Take A Trip Around The World that is only avaliable in Canada today but not in the U.S until March. Johnson gave fans the chance to go through several clips of five new tracks and to recommend which should be the lead single and this upbeat song won. Her new album dropping on March 30th, 2010 is being released under Epic Records and entirely produced by the Johnson herself and released under her own record label after being dropped not once, but twice. Am taking this is going to be huge in indie music scene and while it's not your traditional sounding music, it is one really great track nonetheless. So if you live in Canada you may go ahead and purchase it on itunes and support her, otherwise if not consider yourself lucky to get an advance listen. Enjoy!
