My girl Monica's much delayed sixth studio album Still Standing is finally seeing the light of day as it will be released on March 1, 2010. Here we have the new single lifted from the project titled Everything also known as Everything To Me that surfaced online this week. The track is reportedly produced by Missy Elliott who have collabortated in the past, and samples Deniece Williams 1980's R&B smash hit Silly. Monica is not playing around this time around as she sings the hell out of the song and manages to capture the essence of the original song quite well. She's had a difficult time choosing the right first single, so on her reality series Monica: Still Standing she recently recorded a new track with Polow Da Don, who advised her to go with this as her first single. She did state she wanted to go back to her roots and connect with her loyal 90's fans and this track does exactly that, although i am a little skeptical on how well this will fair on the charts.
