American Idol season five runner-up Katherine Mcphee released her sophomore album Unbroken, her first on her new record label Verve Forecast Records. Here is a an unreleased track that was recorded during her recording sessions but for whatever reason did not end up making the final tracklisting. Although, i am curious as to why this was left off, as it is single worthy and very radio friendly. The song has that country pop sound to it, similiar to what Carrie Underwood or Shania Twain could have sung, but with McPhee's superb vocals and great lyrics to accompany the cathy tune. This is obviously just a demo, and if Kat had recorded it, I think it would been a lot different in the production department and it's also lyrically more generic than the songs that made the album. The lead single lifted from set was a mid-tempo pop rock song that was written by David Hodges, Mitch Allan and Kara DioGuardi titled Had It All which peaked at 24 on U.S. Billboard's Adult Contempary chart.
