Avril Lavigne who just about 24 hours after being the guest judge on American Idol, tough talking Canadian princess debuted her new single. The song titled Alice that premiered it on the Ryan Seacrest Show which is taken from the soundtrack to the Tim Burton's new film Alice In Wonderland scheduled to hit theatres on March 5th, 2010. The track Produced Butch Walker and mixed by Deryck Whilbley that sees her ditching the poppy style and going towards a more acoustic sound. Lavigne explained the song she penned, saying at the time, "I'm not trying to write a perfect pop song. I'm just trying to write a song that's honest right now, even if something sounds weird or a lyric might not make sense to someone." I will admit that is new song is definetly a more mature side of her that we have seen from her since her sophomore album Under My Skin released back in 2004. There has been no official statement whether this new song will appear on Avril's upcoming fourth studio album has yet to be made. One thing is for sure she has been working hard for the past few months to finish her album that is yet untitled. Enjoy!
